In response to an inquiry that we received early one morning from RJR Reynolds Tobacco Co. (Winston-Salem, NC), Metal Locking Service immediately proceeded to mobilize an on-site emergency repair effort. Our man (Phil Meiler) was in the air the very same day we received the inquiry and he reported for work early the next morning. The customer response to our repair and service follows:
Gentlemen,
I just wanted to take a moment and express our appreciation to you and Phil Meiler for the help you provided to us on such short notice toward rectifying the problem with our compressor cylinder. Phil reported in to us at the agreed upon time Tuesday morning and immediately set to work. He was very professional in his approach to his work and methodically went about making our repair. Thankfully he didn't seem to mind an audience, and cheerfully answered all the maintenance related questions our folks posed to him.
Although Phil mentioned that this repair technology had been around for quite some time, I still found the procedure very interesting. Phil was a very down-to-earth kind of guy and was a real pleasure to work with. It was very evident that he took great pride in the work he did. One of the things that impressed me most was Phil's interest in seeing his work put to the test once our maintenance folks had re-assembled the compressor. Of course, no problem was noted, but he wanted to be sure there wasn't.
I'd just like to say once again that I truly appreciate your willingness to work with us in such an expedient manner. I can't say enough about Phil and the quality of his work, which in our opinion was nothing short of superb. Should any future need arise that could require your services, rest assured we'll be calling on you again.
Sincerely yours,
Garmon R. Underwood
